Andreas Quiring is fascinated by people in agriculture near and far. For him, every person is a discovery. This includes the personality, the individual imprint and the current environment. This curiosity also characterizes his professional development. The farmer’s son from the Westerwald region lived for a year on farms in the USA before studying agricultural sciences. He then researched the development of agriculture in Eastern Europe after the fall of the Iron Curtain – preferably on site in conversation. Later as editor of top agrar, as “chief economist” of DLG and since 2008 as managing director of AHA, Andreas Quiring’s focus has always been on picking up on changes for farmers and helping farm families adapt. Andreas has 3 daughters and lives with his family in BONN. The educational mission of the AHA and his passion for people in agriculture keep him busy in terms of time and space.
