Entrepreneurship

As an entrepreneur, it is always possible to improve one’s business – new ideas are rarely lacking. Efficiency can be increased, profits optimised. But it is also about sense and value creation, health and sustainability. Even if we think it is the right way to start imperfectly rather than to wait for perfection, it is still important to check whether the ideas also suit your company, your personality and even your family. We support you with very different formats and methods to put your entrepreneurial ideas to the test, to keep an overview and to set priorities correctly. After all, farsighted planning is not only about being successful in the long term, but also being happy.

The Andreas Hermes Academy has been involved in international development cooperation since 2006. Initially it was about the training of business trainers on the basis of the b|u|s training programme, which has been successful in Germany for many years. For this purpose, a compact version with three modules “b|u|s International” was developed. On behalf of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) as well as in cooperation with the GEFAK (Gesellschaft für angewandte Kommunalentwicklung, Marburg) more than one hundred trainers were trained in Burkina Faso, Benin, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Nepal and Mongolia. These are available for entrepreneur trainings.

The successful approach was also applied in the context of the project “Strengthening farmers’ organisations for sustainable agricultural development”, but here with the training of farmers as internal trainers as an integral part of the organisations’ service development.
